Melfort MLA Todd Goudy named Speaker of the Legislative Assembly

Todd Goudy has a major role in the Saskatchewan Legislature.

The MLA for the Melfort constituency has been named the new Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

The Speaker regulates debates and proceedings in the Legislature, and ensures that rules are being followed and order is maintained.

He was the only person who put his name forward.

Goudy was first elected as Melfort MLA in a byelection in 2018 and was re-elected in 2020 and 2024.
