Daughton returns as Mayor of Christopher Lake

The new Mayor of Christopher Lake is not really new at all.

Prior to stepping down before the 2020 election, Denis Daughton had served four terms.

“I want to see some changes and a lot of the people wanted me to run again,” he said.

With respect to issues, Daughton explained he wants to run a good government and keep taxes low.

“This is a retirement community almost so you kind of want to run things for people with a fixed income and even the young and upcoming, you don’t want things to go too crazy,” he said.

Daughton also noted that he’s looking forward to meeting with the new council and hearing what their priorities are.

“Thank you for voting for me and I am gonna do my best to serve the public,” he said.
