P.A. Carlton candidate feels compassion a main asset in Legislature

The Green Party is running a candidate in every riding in Saskatchewan. In Prince Albert – Carlton, that person is Andrew Muirhead.

Muirhead was born in Saskatoon and lived there until he was eight years old, when he was hit by a car and badly injured.

This led his family to move to Waldheim where he spent years helping take care of a growing number of siblings.

He had one sister when his mom had another baby and, at the same time, his family adopted a cousin.

The family also adopted the siblings of the cousin. Muirhead spent a lot of time helping care for his many siblings, many of whom have special needs.

This really sparked his interest in helping children who are involved in ‘the system’ in some manner.

Muirhead met his wife Alyssa, an American, online during the pandemic and they now live together in the city.

Alyssa is helping out as campaign manager.
