Three people vying for Mayor’s chair in Prince Albert

The nomination deadline has now passed for Prince Albert’s municipal election and according to Thursday’s list from the city clerk’s office, there are three people running for Mayor.

Incumbent Greg Dionne is challenged by Bill Powalinsky and Brittany Smith, who is a local realtor and who has discussed plans in the past to revitalize the downtown.

paNOW has arranged to talk to Smith Thursday afternoon.

Tony Head has been acclaimed in Ward 3, as well as Blake Edwards in Ward 6 and Darren Solomon in Ward 8.

All the other wards are contested.
