One person was transported to hospital by ambulance, following a multi-vehicle crash late Wednesday afternoon in Prince Albert’s downtown area.

Two of the vehicles collided head on at the corner of 15th St. W and Bishop McLean Cr. (Gateway Mall Entrance).

One of the vehicles was both running and had smoke coming out of the hood when emergency crews arrived and bystanders were told to stand back.

A third smaller car with rear end damage, was observed parked in the westbound lane, facing east.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The extent of the injuries is unclear but the female who was being assisted by paramedics was conscious and talking.

As tow trucks worked to clear the scene, the westbound lane was blocked off from Central Ave. to Bishop McLean Cr.
