Inmate from Besnard Correctional Camp unlawfully at-large

A warrant has been issued for an inmate that didn’t report back to the Besnard Correctional Camp.

Pinehouse RCMP have been working to locate 33-year-old Shane Morin since he was required to check in with the facility on Sept. 15 by 7 p.m. Attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful. Now, police are asking for the public to report any sightings and information on his whereabouts.

Morin is described as being 6-1, approximately 230 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his right hand. At the time of his disappearance, he was clean shaven.

Besnard Lake Correctional Camp is an open-custody men’s facility about 150 kilometres south of La Ronge.
