Dell captures Junior Northern title

The 2024 Junior Northern overall champion is Madden Dell.

The Prince Albert golfer held off competition in the 13 to 18 age division at Cooke Municipal Golf Course finishing with a total score of 155.

In total, 15 golfers participated in the extreme heat through two days of competition.

Kaleb Cournoyer finished second with 162 while Burton Addison’s 164 was good enough for third place.

EE Tang won the U12 Girls division this year by retrogression.

The next big event at Cooke Municipal Golf Course is the annual Men’s Northern which brings together top amateur golfers. Past champions include some of Saskatchewan’s all-time best golfers, including Jim Scissons, Ron Stewart, Colin Coben and Danny Klughart. That event is set for August 3 -5.
