One name in hat for Joe Hargrave’s job
One candidate has announced her intention of running for the Sask. Party nomination for Prince Albert Carlton, the seat Joe Hargrave recently announced he would vacate.
Meghan Mayer, who owns a hair salon with her husband and is a pastor at Embassy Church, has said she will seek the nomination.
“I love this community. I have lived, worked and raised my family in this community for over 30 years. It is home,” said Mayer. “My background in business and pastoring gives me a diverse perspective on the different needs within our community, and I have a vested interest in the various economic challenges we face.”
In addition to being a pastor and owning a business, Mayer has two children and has spent time as chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce for one term and was a director on the Downtown Business Development Board.
