The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) has arrested and charged two people following the conclusion of a two-month long drug trafficking investigation.

The arrests were made on Thursday when members of PAPS’ Crime Reduction Team and Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of McIntosh Drive.

Following the investigation, officers seized 264.5 grams of methamphetamine, a sawed off .22 caliber rifle, $1930.00 cash, and further evidence of trafficking.

As a result, 42-year-old Leanna Sander and 36-year-old Jonathon Keenatch, both from Prince Albert, were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of proceeds of crime, and multiple firearms related offences.
