Prince Albert’s Kinsmen Park was packed with residents donned in red, white, and maple leaves.

Hundreds of people came out to the Canada Day celebrations on Monday afternoon which featured a little something for everyone, including food vendors and booths, bingo, live entertainment, and games and activities for the kids, like face painting.

The event at the park was put on by the Royal Canadian Legion #2 and also featured a Canada Day Cash Draw, which included prizes of $1000, $2000, and $3000.

Festivities at the park run from 11:00 a.m. to around 4:30 p.m., but the party doesn’t stop there. Canada Day events continue into the evening down at the riverbank where there, it’s a multicultural celebration.

Like at Kinsmen, there will be food vendors and activities for the kids, along with shopping and a variety of different entertainment including performances from the Iron Eagle Drum and Dance Troupe, Annette Campagne, Phil and Dallas Boyer, The Residuals, Detour Country, and the Mariachi Latino Band.

Canada Day in Prince Albert will wrap up with a firework show on the riverbank later tonight, with weather permitting.
