What a catch: Emergency crews retrieve vehicle from river

Prince Albert residents are fishing for answers.

Shortly before 12p.m., the city’s fire dept. responded to an area near River Street and first Ave. W. They had received a report that a vehicle had entered the water at that location.

On arrival crews found an SUV in the water. There were no occupants in or around the vehicle, and fire fighters ensured that there was no victims as well when they assisted with the removal of the vehicle from the river.

The explanation of how the vehicle ended up in the river has not yet been provided. paNOW has reached out to the Police Albert Police Service for comment.

Auto Rescue Towing helped fish the vehicle out of the river, and a spokesperson also did not know how it came to there.
