Guilty plea entered in Prince Albert area manslaughter case
A little more than a year after a man was found dead at a home west of Prince Albert, a guilty plea has been entered to a charge of manslaughter.
Justin William Madden, 41, appeared by video when the case was discussed Tuesday afternoon at Court of King’s Bench.
A pre-sentence report, which will canvass Madden’s personal history and assist Justice Mills with the final decision, was ordered and the case adjourned to Sept. 11.
On June 4, 2023, Prince Albert RCMP received a request to conduct a welfare check on a man at a home on Oxbow Street. Frank Lund, 78, was found deceased and through their investigation, police determined the death was suspicious.
