Update 931pm: Sask Power crews have located damaged equipment due to lightning but are unable to provide a restoration time for power.

A large area of northern Saskatchewan has for the greater part of the day been without power.

Through its social media, Sask Power indicated crews were continuing to investigate the cause and currently have no estimated repair time for the outage.

Areas impacted include Meath Park, Spruce Home, Christopher Lake, Emma Lake, Candle Lake, Waskesiu, Montreal Lake, La Ronge and Hall Lake.

Areas north of Stanley Mission and Grandmother’s Bay are also included.

In some cases this has impacted various wedding celebrations.
