Serious collision at major Prince Albert intersection

*Update: The police investigation is complete and the traffic restrictions have been lifted. A further update will be released later Wednesday.

Prince Albert Police are asking drivers to avoid a section of sixth Ave. East, following a serious looking crash.

Two vehicles were involved, and the impact forced one on to a local resident’s front lawn. The second smaller vehicle ended up on the curb near the Petro-Canada gas station.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

Traffic restrictions are in place and members of the public are asked to find an alternate route and avoid the area completely if possible.

Parkland Ambulance confirmed that an 83-old-woman was taken to Victoria Hospital with serious injures.
