Man safely contained by police in Branion Drive incident

An incident on the 1100 Block of Branion Drive resulted in a school having to close its perimeter while police responded yesterday.

Prince Albert Police were called to an apartment building on Branion Drive just before 2:30 pm for a 20-year-old man threatening to hurt himself.

Police managed to successfully negotiate with the man and convinced him to come out of an apartment suite without incident.

He was connected with the Police and Crisis Team but also had an outstanding warrant for uttering threats.
