One man taken to hospital after robbery and shooting at Little Red Reserve

A robbery, that involved several people entering a home and shooting the victim, is being investigated by the RCMP.

The incident happened Tuesday, at approximately 6:15 a.m. According to a statement provided for paNOW, Prince Albert RCMP received a report of an injured man at a residence in the community of Little Red River.

The man was later transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The initial investigation revealed that a group of individuals entered a residence and discharged a firearm, striking the victim. They stole some electronics from the residence.

“If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public,” the RCMP said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Prince Albert RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

According to a post made on a social media crime watch page, the suspects torched the vehicle they were traveling in and may now possibly be in an older model Black Chevy Equinox with a broken passenger window.
