Man arrested in connection to homicide investigation in Prince Albert

The Prince Albert Police Service is investigating a homicide.

On Saturday, just before 2p.m., officers attended to a residence in the Unit Block of 28th St. W. for a family dispute with violence.

On arrival officers located a deceased female and arrested a 29-year-old man for murder.

Police have confirmed the victim and accused are known to each other.

“Police can confirm this was not a random act and there is no danger to the public,” they said.

The Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit continue to investigate.
