Prince Albert’s Stryker Zablocki and the Regina Rebels are off to the semi-finals of the Esso Cup after winning their final round-robin game.

Zablocki had one assist in the 4-3 win over the Northern Subway Selects from Nova Scotia to finish second in the standings, qualifying for the next round.

The Rebels were off to a good start in Thursday’s game, bouncing out to a 2-0 lead after the first period.

The Rebels had two more goals in the second including one from Addison Greve, which Zablocki assisted on. The Selects also had two goals to bring to game to 4-2 for Regina after 40 minutes.

The Selects made it close midway through the third period, but the Rebels would hold on for the win.

With that victory, Zablocki and her team play in the semi-finals on Friday against the host Thompson-Okanagan Lakers. The Rebels beat the Lakers 6-2 on Wednesday.

That game gets underway at 8 p.m. Friday while the Edmonton Jr. Oilers and North York Storm play in the other semi at 4 p.m.
