A man and a woman from Prince Albert are among three people charged, following an armed robbery that occurred earlier this week at a bar in Rosthern.

Kayden Aubichon and Kristy Charles appeared in court on Wednesday; along with Rico Opikokew from Canoe Lake.

On March 25, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Rosthern RCMP received a report of a robbery.

The investigation determined that two men entered the business with an axe and a knife and stole a sum of cash.

A woman remained in the vehicle and later assisted the two men in leaving the scene.

The occupants in the business reported no physical injuries.

Saskatoon Police Service located all three suspects and arrested them on March 26. The axe used in the offence, a knife and a sum of cash have since been recovered by police.

Both Aubichon and Opikokew face several charges including robbery with a weapon, assault with a weapon, and wearing a disguise with intent to commit an offence.

Opikokew was also additionally charged with three counts of failing to comply with a probation order,

Kristy Charles faces counts of robbery with a weapon. All have pending court dates next week and remain in custody.

Last week, Prince Albert police issued a dangerous person alert for Aubichon, advising he has a violent history and his disappearance from custody sparked immediate concern and action.
