Strong sang the song ‘Stone Cold’ by Demi Lovato. Immediately after her moving performance, she was asked by a judge what she was thinking.

“I’m just very happy that I could touch so many peoples’ hearts tonight. This stage has brought me a lot of confidence and just showing who I am,” she replied.

Judge Howie Mandel then informed Strong she had not only made Canada proud but also her Indigenous culture.

“That was an amazing moment young lady,” he said.

Noting the grand prize this season is one million dollars, judge Lilly Singh then asked Strong how that might change her life – to which Strong replied she would like to help her parents, and specifically her dad.

“I would love for him to retire,” she said.

Noting her belief that everyone has a purpose, Singh then informed Strong her purpose was to help people like her.

Seconds later Singh pressed the Golden Buzzer and Strong, overcome with emotion, instantly broke down in tears.

The golden buzzer means Strong goes straight through to the live shows.

“I feel amazing right now,” Strong said through tears.

In the audience were several members of Strong’s family and they joined her on stage to celebrate.

Commenting on his daughter’s hard work, Strong’s father said he was very proud of her.

“And she’s an angel,” he said.
