Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) getting $1M boost from province for extra training seats
The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is getting a $1 million boost from the province, according to a press release from the government’s Ministry for Immigration and Career Training.
The increase will help support 150 more seats in the skilled trades programming and will up this year’s funding to $22.4 million.
“We are thrilled the Government of Saskatchewan is providing this additional investment in support of our province’s apprenticeship and trade certification system,” said SATCC CEO Jeff Ritter in the release.
“This funding will help us meet the growing demand for apprenticeship training.”
