Future NHLer Conor Geekie had two goals and two assists Tuesday night as he lead the Swift Current Broncos past the Prince Albert Raiders 4-2 at the Art Hauser Centre.

After a Niall Crocker goal in the third period that made it 3-2, the Raiders pressed for the tying goal but couldn’t find a way to beat Broncos goaltender Reid Dyck in the dying minutes of the game. Ryder Ritchie had the other Raider goal, which came in the first period.

Despite the loss the Raiders remain tied for seventh spot in the WHL’s Eastern Conference alongside the Lethbridge Hurricanes, five points clear of the ninth place Calgary Hitman. The top eight teams in the conference will qualify for the post-season, which begins on March 29.

With the win, the playoff bound Broncos move into top spot in the Central Division and second in the Eastern Conference.
