P.A. Chamber announces relocation and business award finalists

Some big news has come from the Prince Albert Chamber of Commerce, including this year’s finalists for the biggest business bash of the year.

The finalists for this year’s Samuel McLeod Business Awards were announced during the annual Legacy Brunch.

A total of 12 award categories are up for grabs for the ceremony to take place on April 12th at Plaza88.

Business of the Year: Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, River Park & Grays; Diamond North Credit Union; Lake Country Co-op.

Customer Service Award: Aspen Films; Diamond North Credit Union; Fresh Air Experience.

Young Entrepreneur Award: Aaron LeMoal, E.T. Flooring and Design; Aiden Edwards, FamJam; Tia Furstenberg and Kayanna Wirtz, Lemon Art Studio.

Business Transformation Award: Delicate Petals; WillowGrove Pharmacy; Lake Country Co-op.

Non-Profit Organization Award: Prince Albert Grand Council Urban Services; Rose Garden Hospice; S.H.A.R.E.

Community Involvement Award: Beau “Lac” Funeral Home; Prince Albert Memorial Gardens, River Park and Grays; Aurora Chiropractic, Message Therapy, and Health Centre.

New Venture Award: Fresh Air Experience; The Elim Cafe.

Micro-Enterprise Award: Heart and Home Property Specialists; The Elim Cafe; Delicate Petals.

Indigenous Business Award: Kiyam Clothing Wear; Tipi Fuel and Convenience.

Business Leader of the Year Award: Cody Barnett; Marianne Turcotte; Shelley LeMoal.

Marketing Award: Lakeland Hyundai; Heart & Home Property Specialists; Capstone Community Marketing.

Diversity in the Workplace Award: Community Service Centre; Mont St. Joseph Home.

On the same day the award nominees were announced, the Chamber also said it will soon be moving its headquarters to a new location.

As of March 25, the Chamber will relocate to 54 – 11th Street East.

In addition to the relocation, the Chamber is also introducing a new initiative called ChamberHQ – Business Meets Here, which will provide entrepreneurs and startups with resources, support, and infrastructure to help them grow.
