Marauders and Crusaders score big wins at Wrestling Regionals

Mar 4, 2024 | 1:21 PM

A number of wrestlers from St. Mary and Carlton Comprehensive High Schools have punched their tickets to provincials.

Both schools did very well at Regionals, which was held last Saturday in Rosetown.

St. Mary, which had the largest team at the competition, finished first overall with 165 total points, dominating in both the girls’ and boys’ divisions.

In addition to most pins with the least amount of time, the Marauders also placed first on most tech falls in the least amount of time.

Carlton finished third overall (63 pts.), behind Swift Current, and ahead of A.E. Peacock.

Provincials are scheduled for this upcoming weekend in Saskatoon at Evan Hardy Collegiate.
