Feb 26, 2024 | 9:56 AM

Saskatchewan teachers are adding another day of sanctions to an already busy week for job action.

On Monday, the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation (STF) announced the withdrawal of noon-hour supervision for several divisions on Thursday.

This follows no noon-hour supervision, rotating strikes and no extracurricular activities for hundreds of schools on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

The withdrawal of noon-hour supervision will involve schools in the following local associations:

– Chinook Teachers’ Association

– Creighton Teachers’ Association

– Lloydminster Teachers’ Association

– North East Teachers’ Association

– Prairie Spirit Teachers’ Association

In a news release, the STF said it “understands that the withdrawal of noon-hour supervision is an inconvenience to many families. Parents and caregivers concerned about the impact of job action should contact their MLAs and elected school board trustees and ask them to encourage the government’s bargaining committee to return to the table with a new mandate.”

President of the STF Samantha Becotte is scheduled to address the media at 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
