THE LIQUORED UP TOUR

Aaron Pritchett ready to bring latest and loudest tour to P.A.

Feb 21, 2024 | 6:00 AM

Get ready P.A., because a country music star is making his way back to the city.

Canadian Country Music artist Aaron Pritchett returns to Prince Albert on Wednesday night as part of the Liquored Up Tour with Cory Marks and Matt Lang.

Pritchett last visited Prince Albert on New Year’s Eve performing at Party in the Plain. He said that coming from a big city background, it’s a breath of fresh air to perform in smaller communities like P.A.

“You get people that you recognize from past shows coming out quite a bit often and I love seeing the same faces and getting to see them after the show, doing autograph signings and getting to say hi again and sometimes, especially in a town like P.A., people there that I recognize probably 10 times.”

Joining Pritchett in his latest visit to Prince Albert is Cory Marks, a country rock singer and brother to former NHL draft pick Matt Marquadt. Matt Lang, a Quebecois artist who started his career on La Voix, the French-language version of the reality competition The Voice.

For Pritchett, he said touring with these fellow country artists has been incredible, going so far as to say that it’s been a family-like affair.

“Everybody in the band and crew and Cory and Matt who are new to my crew…it’s like a band of brothers,” he said. “Sometimes you get tired of people right away and you have to live with them on a bus and you got to work with them every day and not like a 9-5 job where you can go home to family, and this is really a road family that’s very tight.”

The Liquored Up Tour started a couple of months ago and is set to run until the beginning of March in Moncton, New Brunswick. The trio have already performed in cities like Kelowna, Drumheller, and Saskatoon and after Wednesday night, will hit Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

As for what fans can expect at Wednesday night’s show, Pritchett noted it’s unlike anything fans have ever seen before as all three performers will take the stage at different times.

“Typically, at any tour or show that I’ve done, you have an opener, you have a middle act, and you have the headliner. This is not like that. It starts off unexpectedly and with a bang and then it kind of rides this fiery wave that I call it for about two hours, and it ends with a big boom.”

Another added benefit to coming to the show on Wednesday is a chance to see Pritchett live and inside your living room as he will be selling 300 vinyl albums during the tour. One of those vinyl records is gold.

“Whoever finds the gold album wherever in Canada, we’re going to give a free house concert to.”

The Prince Albert show is set to go at 7:30 p.m. at the E.A. Rawlinson Centre.
