Raiders blown out in Bridge City

Feb 10, 2024 | 12:01 AM

They kept it close for two periods but in the end the Prince Albert Raiders couldn’t quite keep up with the Saskatoon Blades Friday night in Saskatoon.

The Raiders lost 6-1 to their rivals at SaskTel Centre. The Raiders trailed 3-1 after 40 minutes before the Blades broke the game open in the third period.

Fraser Minten had three points to lead the way for the home side.

Turner McMillen scored the lone goal for P.A., a shorthanded marker late in the first period. Saskatoon also scored a man down courtesy of Tyler Parr’s third period tally.

To make matters worse for P.A., the Raiders lost forward Luke Moroz to injury midway through the third period. The rookie forward did not return to the game.

The Raiders return home to the Art Hauser Centre on Saturday as they host the Brandon Wheat Kings, a team they have yet to beat this season.
