Not guilty plea entered in Chaboyer murder case

Feb 10, 2024 | 8:00 AM

A man charged in connection to a Prince Albert murder case, is maintaining his innocence.

Kyle Charles has entered a not guilty plea to a single charge of accessory after the fact and will face trial on Sept. 25.

The case was discussed Friday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

In September of 2020, 24-year-old Tristan Chaboyer was reported missing to police. The disappearance was eventually deemed a homicide and in August of 2021, police confirmed human remains found in a wooded area northeast of the city were those of Chaboyer.

At the time of his death, Chaboyer was living in Prince Albert and worked at Star House Restaurant.

There’s been two others charged in the case. Harley Bear is scheduled back in court on Feb. 16 and Allan Genereux is scheduled to have his matter spoken to on Feb. 28.

Like Charles, they have also been charged with accessory after the fact but have not yet entered pleas.
