Teams ready to rumble for Special Olympic Floor Hockey Tournament in P.A.
The Special Olympics are set to take over Carlton High School this weekend as six teams from across the province are ready to make noise at Prince Albert’s Floor Hockey Tournament.
The tournament will be welcoming six teams in this year’s installment, including one each from Humboldt and Saskatoon and two from both Prince Albert and Regina. One of the teams also traveling from the Queen City is Team Saskatchewan, who will represent the province in Calgary at the 2024 Canada Winter Games that begin later this month.
“It’s always exciting welcoming other communities here to P.A.,” said Prince Albert’s Special Olympic head coach Tyler Kowalski. “It gives our athletes a chance to compete and to get to know where they stand against other athletes from around the province.”
A similar tournament was held in Prince Albert last year.
