Cowboy Campfire Evenin’

Feb 6, 2024 | 11:17 AM

Larry Krause and Linda Nadon will be in Prince Albert at the Prince Albert Public Library providing an afternoon of western entertainment February 11 at 2.30 p.m.

This is the third in a series that included dates in Rapid View and Big River, with a very positive response coming from both those venues.

This is the Western Heritage type of entertainment that does not often wander this far north, but is prevalent in southern Saskatchewan and Alberta, and numerous Cowboy Festivals and gatherings..

Linda Nadon is an accomplished, award winning Cowboy poet that has graced the Festival stages at Kamloops, Maple Creek, High River, Albuquerque, NM and Elko, NV.

She is the real deal, currently ranching with her husband in the Meadow Lake area, and gearing up for the next calving season.

Her poetry reflects the ranching lifestyle-both good and bad aspects-, a life that is unique in its own.

They work the herd on horseback, and she is a horse breeder as well.

These are not stuffy stories that will get you looking at your shoes, but rather funny and thoughtful reflections on her life.

Larry Krause is well known in the Prince Albert area for his various stage shows with his band, Timberline, appearances with Country North, PACMA, and his Legendary Canadiana stage show, which he performed at the E. A. Rawlinson center.

What Folks might not know is of his first music love, which is Western and Cowboy music. This interest in that style of music has taken him to shows in Kamloops, Maple Creek, Staveley, High River, Medicine Hat, as well as an East Coast tour featuring Western Roots music.

He has become a regular invited performer at the Calgary stampede for 14 years.

Combining these two performers on stage gives a very solid glimpse into the world of Cowboy Poetry, and Western Music, with a couple of its best representatives on stage.

They take to the PA Library Stage 2:30 on Sunday, Feb. 11, with tickets available at the door.
