Suspect ID’d in robbery and bear spray incident posted to social media

A suspect has been identified by police after two videos showing an assault and robbery surfaced on social media.

Prince Albert Police said they are investigating the robbery attempt that also involved the person pointing a can of bear spray at the victim.

Videos posted to a local Facebook group show the suspect approaching a homeless woman in the city who moves with the use of a walker and can’t stand up straight, pointing bear spray at her and demanding her property.

In a second video, the suspect approaches a group of victims just before the bear spray is discharged.

Police said they have identified the suspect but continue to investigate the incidents.
