UPDATE: Crews working to restore power north of Prince Albert

UPDATE: Just after 9:30 Wednesday morning, SaskPower said repairs were done and power was being restored.

A power outage is leaving hundreds of customers in the dark north of Prince Albert and even prompted a school closure.

SaskPower said they were made aware of the outage around 4:16 Wednesday morning.

The outage is affecting those north of Spruce Homme including Christopher Lake, Emma Lake, Murray Lake, Little Red River First Nation and surrounding areas.

Crews are working to make the repairs and SaskPower anticipates that power will be restored by 11 a.m.

As a result of the outage, Christopher Lake School is closed for the day.
