STF plans rallies across province during one-day teacher strike

Rallies have been scheduled to take place across Saskatchewan on Tuesday during the one-day teacher’s strike.

The Saskatchewan Teachers Federation (STF) announced the temporary work stoppage last week, the first of what could be a large number of tactics used to stronghold the province at the bargaining table.

In total, 33 communities will see teachers hit the picket lines. This includes Prince Albert, North Battleford, Meadow Lake, Melfort, and La Ronge.

According to the STF, each of the rallies is expected to happen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Canora – The Office of MLA Terry Dennis

  • Davidson – Along Highway 11 in front of the Big Coffee Pot and Cup
  • Estevan – The Office of MLA Lori Carr

  • Kindersley – The Office of MLA Ken Francis
