Equine Expo in Saskatoon’s Prairieland Park
Hosted by the Prairieland Agriculture Department in partnership with the Saskatchewan Horse Federation and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, the Saskatchewan Equine Expo will be joined by equine-enthusiasts to celebrate equine diversity, October 26-29, 2023.
This 4-day event brings industry professionals, and horse-enthusiasts together to showcase and experience the best of the best in equine health, education, and horsemanship.
This year, the expo welcomes three highly skilled clinicians to the event: Bonnie McCutcheon, Lane Thiessen, and Dr. Rebecca (Gimenez) Husted, PhD. Lane Thiessen will be speaking daily at the Information
Theatre, as well as hosting a leather braiding clinic for his pre-registered participants. Meanwhile, Dr. Rebecca Husted, a highly educated and renowned expert, will have a demonstration on trailer safety and will speak to various large animal rescue topics daily in the Info Theatre. Finally, highly-respected and locally-known clinician, Bonnie McCutcheon, will be working closely with her Ranch Riding clinic participants in the main arena at the Prairieland Ag Center as they strive to improve the versatility, attitude,
and movement of their working horse while performing maneuvers at a forward, working speed.
The very popular Trainer Challenge will return to thrill for another year with three new trainers – Lucas Bertram, Dusty Harvey, and Craig Reesor – all vying for the championship buckle.
