A strong weekend for the Prince Albert Raiders resulted in one of its players receiving a weekly award once again.

Raiders superstar Ryder Ritchie was named the Western Hockey League’s Player of the Week on Monday.

The 17-year-old NHL prospect had three assists Friday against Calgary, a goal and an assist Saturday against Moose Jaw, and a goal and an assist Sunday against Saskatoon.

Ritchie also finished the weekend at a +6 rating in the three games. He leads the team in scoring with 15 points through 10 regular season games.

The Raiders will enjoy a few days off this week before returning to the Art Hauser Centre ice Friday night when they host the Regina Pats.
