Three people have been charged in connection to a drug bust in Prince Albert on Friday the 13th.

The Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT) and the Prince Albert Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT) executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act in the 2800 block of Dunn Drive.

Fabian Sylvestre, 34, Christian John Abernethy, 27, and Kara Larson, 19, were arrested and all made their first appearances at Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday.

According to information heard in court, Abernethy and Fabian Sylvestre have each been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

In addition to a quantity of cocaine, officers also seized a sawed off .410 shotgun. The gun was not loaded but there was ammunition located nearby.

While Larson was not charged with drug trafficking, she is still accused of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

All three had their cases addressed again on Tuesday. Sylvestre was adjourned to Oct. 19, while Abernethy and Larson are scheduled to have their matters dealt with on Nov. 15
