A woman accused of concealing the body of a dead child, has entered a not guilty plea and will face trial.

Tashia Turner’s case was discussed Wednesday morning at Lloydminster Provincial Court and subsequently adjourned to Oct. 11 for the purpose of setting a trial date.

On Jan. 5, 2022, Onion Lake RCMP were informed of the sudden death of an infant in the community.

They later determined the death should be investigated by the Major Crimes Unit, who was in turn supported by the North Battleford RCMP Forensics Identification Section.

Turner was arrested on March 7 of this year and later released on bail with strict conditions.

She was 33-years-old at the time of her arrest.
