The Prince Albert Raiders are sending a defenseman to Brandon.

The team announced on Wednesday that they traded Seth Tansem to the Wheat Kings in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft.

Tansem was drafted by the Raiders in the second round of the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft, 43rd overall, and ended up playing in 49 games for the green and gold.

In those games, he ended up getting eight assists. All of his points came last season as he’s yet to put his name on the score card of any of the five games he’s played this season.

Meanwhile, the Raiders also announced on Wednesday that they have reassigned Carter Anderson to a team that is still to be determined.

In seven games this season, the 2004-born forward scored one goal.

Last season, he had 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points in 51 games. This was four more points than he had in 84 games over three seasons for the Red Deer Rebels.
