La Ronge man dies after being struck by stolen vehicle
A 21-year-old man from La Ronge is facing several charges after allegedly hitting and killing a pedestrian with a stolen vehicle.
James Misponas appeared in court on Oct. 2 in La Ronge to face charges that include driving while intoxicated, failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing death, and possessing stolen property.
On Sept. 29, he reportedly struck a 56-year-old man while driving near the La Ronge Ave. and Nunn St. intersection. The man passed away from his injuries the next day.
RCMP noted Misponas would hit another vehicle after striking the pedestrian with one of the occupants suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
