Female youth charged with second-degree murder in Deschambault Lake death

Deschambault Lake RCMP are charging a female youth with murder.

On Sunday, officers received a report of an injured person on a street in the community. When they arrived on the scene, they found a deceased 17-year-old boy.

After investigating, RCMP ended up driving to a home in the community where they would arrest the female youth, who can’t be named, and charge her with second-degree murder. RCMP note additional charges are still pending.

She was scheduled to appear in court in Deschambault Lake on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, RCMP arrested another man at the home. He was wanted for multiple charges including assault with a weapon.

The man was suffering from serious injuries when he was arrested and was transported to the hospital. RCMP noted his injuries came from a separate incident which they’re currently investigating.
