15-year-old charged following after school bear spray incident
Prince Albert Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection to a bear spray incident that occurred around the same time students at a local high school were being dismissed for the day.
Just before 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a call in the 2800 block of sixth Ave. E.
Upon arrival, they learned the teenaged suspect had sprayed a group of people with a can of a chemical used to deter charging bears. When challenged, the boy then aimed the spray at a peace officer and tried to flee the scene.
The teenager was later apprehended and is facing multiple charges including causing mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
