One man arrested after stolen vehicle from Melfort found on Wahpeton Dakota Nation

A 28-year-old man from Prince Albert faces a number of charges after police investigated a suspicious vehicle on Wahpeton Dakota Nation.
RCMP said they received the call on Sept. 8 and later found out the vehicle was stolen from Melfort the previous day.
Officers found the vehicle parked outside a home and arrested one man without incident. Officers later found a small amount of meth in the man’s possession and a loaded firearm.
The man now faces several charges including unsafe storage of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and failing to comply with a firearms prohibition order.
