Police searching for suspect after shooting in Beauval
Members of the Beauval RCMP are asking residents to report sightings of a suspect believed to be linked to gunshots in the community.
Police were alerted to an incident around 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 3 when they received a report of a firearm discharge. Investigation revealed the firearm was discharged at a woman in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspects fled in a black SUV.
Mounties began patrols to locate the SUV and suspects. Meadow Lake RCMP found the SUV at a home on the Flying Dust First Nation.
Cory LaFleur, 23, was charged with several offences including uttering threats, discharging a firearm with intent, using a firearm without reasonable precaution for the safety of other persons, carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and three counts of unlicensed possession of a firearm.
