Around 260 tickets & 13 roadside suspensions handed out during P.A. traffic blitz
Nearly 260 traffic tickets were handed out in Prince Albert over a two-day stretch.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) hosted a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) blitz with officers from across the province participating. This included the RCMP, Saskatchewan Highway Patrol, Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Police, and representatives from SGI and the Ministries of Justice and Finance.
Along with the tickets, just under 250 warnings were issued for various Traffic Safety Act offenses.
One person was also given a 60-day roadside suspension for allegedly driving while impaired, while 12 others received a three-day roadside suspension for testing positive for THC.
