Human remains found near Black Lake

Update: RCMP confirmed on Friday the remains found southeast of Black Lake were part of a grave site and are over a century old.

The police file is now closed.

Saskatchewan RCMP, with help from a forensic anthropologist, are investigating a disturbing discovery in Northern Saskatchewan.

On Monday, police received a report that human remains were located in a remote area approximately 6.5 km southeast of Black Lake.
