Happy Charles’ family receives tip she escaped from house, P.A. police say she’s still missing

Prince Albert Police say Happy Charles has not been found despite her family being told she was.

Charles went missing in 2017 and was last seen on security footage walking through the parking lot at Prince Albert Collegiate Institute (PACI).

Carson Poitras, Happy’s father, posted on social media that his family received a tip that she had escaped from a basement in Prince Albert.

The family follows every tip they get; however, this was the first one that said she was alive.

“We searched around the area of the house in question and found nothing,” Poitras’s post said. We have been handing out flyers, asking questions about our daughter, and investigating the tip.”

In a release, Prince Albert Police explained investigators were told about Happy potentially being spotted, however, they were unable to find her just like her family.

They added they continue to investigate Happy’s disappearance.
