15-year-old charged after woman robbed at knife-point

A 15-year-old youth is facing charges of robbery and breaching court ordered conditions following an incident in the 2800 Block of First Avenue West this morning.

Prince Albert Police were patrolling the area just after 4:30 a.m. when they saw what looked like a female and male having a fight on the street.

When officers turned on their emergency lights, the male ran from the scene.

It turned out, the incident was an attempt to rob the victim of her purse and the accused was holding a knife.

After backup arrived, officers found the youth and arrested him in the 100 Block of 28^th Street West.

They also found the knife.

The accused youth, who cannot be identified due to provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will be in court this morning.
