The Vermette and Shaw wildfires near Buffalo Narrows and Ile-a-la-Crosse continue to burn while other blazes like the Smith and McCrae fires continue to burn near Pinehouse Lake.

As for fire bans, several are still in place for northern Saskatchewan including Green Lake, La Ronge, and Air Ronge. Edam and Canwood also have fire bans in effect.

So far this year, the SPSA has reported 286 fires, while nationwide more than 3,000 fires have burned.
