One person transported to hospital following multi-vehicle crash west of Prince Albert

Parkland Ambulance has confirmed one person was transported by ambulance to hospital, following a late afternoon crash involving three vehicles.

It happened on Highway 3 at the Crutwell turnoff.

All three vehicles involved were observed being towed away.

The injured person was listed in good and stable condition.

Through a statement on their Facebook page, Shellbrook Fire and Rescue confirmed they were called to the scene at approximately 4:52 p.m.

While first responders tended to the scene, eastbound traffic remained at a standstill for close to an hour. And westbound traffic was detoured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, however people who live in the area told paNOW it is a very dangerous stretch of highway.

A petition drafted in 2016, called on the Ministry of Highways to provide a roadside turnout and a clear sign with lights to alert drivers of the Crutwell turnoff.
