Monteal Lake man accused of attempted murder may be in Prince Albert

A woman is in hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted over the course of several hours in Montreal Lake.

Police look for her alleged attacker, Isiah Roberts, age 22 and say he may be in Montreal Lake or in Prince Albert.

RCMP from Montreal Lake were told of the attack at about 4:30 a.m. on May 29 and found the woman had been assaulted over the course of several hours. She is in hospital and Roberts is charged with attempted murder.

When police went to the scene, they saw a man in home and told him he was under arrest but he ran into a nearby wooded area.

Despite an extensive search, he was not found.

Roberts is also charged with aggravated assault, aggravated sexual assault, assault with a weapon and unlawful confinement.

A warrant has been issued for Isiah Roberts’ arrest and Waskesiu/Montreal Lake RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) are actively working to locate him.

He approximately 5-10 and 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
